I'm embarrassed (a wee bit) to say that I have not kept my word and issued a quarterly report on creating a business plan. Nor have I done the business plan which I guess would be the substance of said quarterly report. Procrastination and amnesia would be the reason, or excuse if you prefer. I simply forgot about it most of the time and those few times when I did remember it, there were so many more interesting and fun things to do.

What I noticed out of this process is that things dealing with business, finance, etc. are really not something that I would choose to do. I do my accounting, taxes, balance my checkbook and pay bills because there are dire consequences if I don't. I need the gun to head therapy to make me want do those things which are really anathema to creativity.

So do I still plan to do what I promised? (Hesitation for a long while considering what I think I want to say and what is really true.) I don't know. I think I should. I believe I would get benefit from it, but I also am honest enough to admit that there are still so many, many things I would rather do. So we shall see.

Next report due in July.... make that July 31 just to give me a little wiggle room. ;-)

I'm right there with you, Ann. I am against New Years resolutions, and business plans. Even though, they creep into my life without consent.

I look forward to seeing your quarterly reports. I am happy to bug you :)

Hi Allan the Bard, Thank you for your comment and your question. I don't know that I feel like a new person but it does feel really, really good. There's so much satisfaction in the accomplishment of birthing a new painting. I also write songs and have much the same feeling as when I finish a painting. One really great thing about writing songs is you get to sing them again and again. And as you sing them they evolve or take on the mood that you are in. There is no better way of life than being creative, no matter what form it takes, in my opinion.

Hi! Your art is great! Wish I could make such wonders ;) hope in the future I'll become as good as you are?
I have a question, if you don't mind? I'm a writer and always tell my friends (and enemies;) that there's nothing like writing of books, the best experience, job, way of life one could have! I guess many artists feel the same way too about their work? I made some illustrations for my 1st and 2nd books, and for some of the rest too, also some greeting cards for some friends, so I could be titled as some kind of an amateur artist... And I felt drawing and painting are amongst the best activities too for a creative person... But not so good as writing, according to my opinion? What do you think about that? Do you feel a new person when you finish a painting/illustration? Do you feel that the creatures you draw and paint become your friends? As it happens after writing of a book?
Wish you all the best! Let the wonderful noise of the sea always sounds in your ears! (a greeting of the water dragons' hunters - my Tale Of The Rock Pieces).
